Meet the team

Mac is a local boy, educated just across from the gym at Waiuku College. Playing rugby to rep level, Mac has always been a keen sportsman, but the physicality of rugby and the passing of the years meant the body wasn’t coping with the demands like it used to. The discovery of Crossfit in East Tamaki offered Mac the opportunity to participate in a challenging sport and proved there is life after rugby!

Sport and fitness have always played a major part in Nikki’s life. She competed in athletics and tennis to rep level and was in the Great Britain Rugby League squad, so she’s no stranger to a challenge. More recently Nikki has limited her sports to a socially competitive level; and so, not to be ‘out squatted’ by Mac, she joined him in his Crossfit exercises at home. Nikki's passion for sport led her to complete a BA in Sport and Fitness Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy in the UK.

Rangi has lived in Waiuku with his partner for 15 years and has 3 beautiful children. He attended Glenbrook Primary School where he started playing hockey. He played Counties Representative Hockey from under 11s to Senior Mens. I began multi sport racing later in life competing in the South Island Coast to Coast twice and several other endurance events. Qualified as a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer he enjoys sharing his knowledge with others to help them achieve their goals.
