The mention of weight lifting and gymnastics are enough to send lots of people running scared, but that should not be the case. All new recruits to Rx Fitness 235 who have not participated in this type of fitness programme before are required to complete the twelve session Introductory Course. They run over a period of 6 weeks and in these sessions you will learn the fundamental movements we use at Rx Fitness 235 in a fun and friendly environment. The emphasis of our Intro class is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter our ongoing mainstream classes.
We will focus hugely on technique – both for your safety – and success at the next level. We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity. We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non technical and build up to progressively more technical.
Its important that you are here for each of the 12 sessions as these movements all build on one another.
There will be a workout at the end of each session which will get progressively more challenging as your body familiarises itself with this type of training and as you get stronger and fitter. You will do this all within a group of great people who are in the same boat as you.
