At Rx Fitness 235 we not only transform bodies, but we have a very strong focus on transforming lives. The mind is a powerful thing and is often what limits us from achieving our potential. So our goal at Rx Fitness 235  is to assess and help with building a strong mindset as well as a strong body; surrounding yourself with others on the same journey and building a community.

MEET THERESA

“I started with RX Fitness looking to gain energy to run around and play with my two young kids. I hadn’t prioritised my own health and fitness as an adult and nervously joined my mate walking through the gym doors.

Once through the doors the support, encouragement and inspiration of my amazing coaches and the members gave me the confidence to push forward on my fitness journey.

I have gone from struggling to run a 200m warm up to completing a 10km run with my family, refereeing my sons school soccer game and doing a 5 day trek in the himalayas with my husband and kids, (to name a few things).

When I started I remember my coach saying all you have to do is walk through the door and we will take care of the rest. This has been true for me and I am so grateful for my RX Fitness journey.

MEET MAC

“Five years ago I picked up a shoulder injury playing sport. Not being able to train properly for a year I was down in the dumps, feeling sorry for myself and really couldn’t be bothered doing anything. I started to put weight on which led to doing less. At that time I think I was feeling depressed not wanting to get out of bed some days…. As a Coach that’s a hard place to be.

Being a Marvel fan I couldn’t wait for the End Game movie to hit the cinema. In the movie, Thor turned to the bottle and junk food and was fat and overweight. My three year old turned to me and said Dad you’re the fat Thor. At first it was funny but after a while that comment starts to wear thin and starts to hurt, a lot. 

That was a turning point for me and so with working on my mindset, here I am. Fitter and in a better place to motivate and inspire others with my ongoing journey.

I feel sad, embarrassed and vulnerable telling this story but it was the only way to get out the other side and I hope it helps others to make that change.”
